great gig, especially when more people turned up after the football. they played a great set (that i cant remember) and jammed a bit at the end of a couple of songs which was interesting. they carried on playing even after equipment failed them on ha ha high babe. von bondies were good too.

So oncemore, we went to see BRMC abroad, this time in the beautiful city of Amsterdam. Support were the Von Bondies. BRMC started off with the acoustic songs "Complicated Situation" and "Shuffle Your Feet". Lovely! The set contained all the favorites like "Spread Your Love", "Stop", "Love Burns" and the more atmospheric "Shade Of Blue", along with a couple of rarities as "Ha Ha High Babe". Even though the latter started with some technical problems, they improvised so well it still sounded terrific! The show ended with the breathtaking "Salvation" melting into "Heart & Soul" with Rob taking a walk through the crowd once again. Looking at it, what we were getting from that gig weighted a whole lot more than the actual trouble (8 hour bus drive lol) of getting there. Thank you guys for this fantastic evening!

Went on my motorcycle to see the Black Rebels work.
They had some problems with the sound, the guitar on High high babe was fading away, but they prove to be a good live band. I think they can play much better; the first three songs was not so good.
I hope when they visit Amsterdam once more, the soundcheck is better.

What an amazing gig and night!! I'm just so overwhelmed that every BRMC gig gets better and better ( at least the ones I'm going to :-)).This one at the Paradiso has to be the best one so far!
The venue was really nice and it was graet that there was no barrier in front of the stage.Although my neck was hurting afterwards:-).....the stage was way too high.
The atmosphere was more than great.....quite easy with so many nice people (includes the band)!!
Well, and the gig itself was, like I said, awesome!!!
Amazing how songs can have so much power and energy......my highlight is always when they play Highbabe......it's such a sexy song and the bassline always makes me shiver.......unfortunately Rob had some technical problems during that song, but it worked out good after all.And they played "Salvation"....haven't heard thet live for quite aome time now.
All I can say is that I love this band!!!Their music is just so irresistible and wonderful!
Thanks to the guys for that great night!!!! It was a lot of fun......not to mention the really weird conversation I had with Nick.....wonder what's going on in his mind*g*
I had a fantastic time!!
