Its 420 in Boulder CO. Thank you to the Rebels. This was my 3rd time to see the guys in Denver and it was a high. A tip of my hat to “Tommy Cong for drumming that night. Thank you for playing High/Low hope you heard us. We were down in front last night and it was better than the balcony at the Bluebird last time through town. This band has meant a lot to me and my good friends over the past five years. Pleas keep making music as we will too. ROCk, Roll, we know what happened.

What can I say....
Unbelievable again. It was my third time experiencing them here in Denver. Last time at the Bluebird, which was a great show itself, but you cant beat the Gothic with its multiple levels of viewing pleasure. Despite the viewing choices we ended up right in front with Peter and his "slicked back" look. The show from there was, as expected, "mezmerizing". The guys always deliver. Robert made a comment about being a "little rusty" but who cares. The first show of the year and they did great. Not just great, Awesome....!!!

I have to say this though.

The opening band: The Morning After Girls = excellent!!!

I was very upset they only had a 1/2 hour set. They had much more to give knowing their latest CD's material.

Thankfully, I had a chance to meet the guys later after the show. They were extremeley cool and we took a couple pics.
These guys need a listen too!!!!!!!!

For their sake I hope they get a little more stage time...hint..hint.

Thanks guys!!! from Gordon (microbus99)

The show totally rocked! It was only my second time going to any of their gigs so I can't really tell you much in relation to past tours. I was slightly worried that since it was Super Bowl Sunday, the crowd turnout would be less than stellar, but by the time Elefant came on, it was a full house. I wasn't that impressed with Elefant, I thought the lead singer was a bit cocky. Who knows, maybe I misinterpreted him... Anyway, I really liked the first support band who I had never heard of, but ended up buying their cd after hearing them live.

Right, so Peter started the set off alone like he did in September when I saw them last. Now here is perhaps a rookie mistake on my part: my sister and I had positioned ourselves directly in front of Peter. Holy shit, his guitars are super loud! It was really cool in one respect because we could watch him play completely unobstructed, but the term "wall of noise" has a completely new meaning to us. The first time I had seen them, I was in a balcony in the back so it didn't even occur to me that I may not be able to hear anything other than guitar if I stood where we did last night. Now you may be thinking "doesn't she even listen to the music, of course it's going to be loud", and honestly, I do not know how I didn't think of it myself. Despite my stupidity, we had a GREAT time. Robert kept apologizing for being nervous since it was the first show of the tour, but they totally rocked. I think they played two new songs, although I can't be totally sure since we sometimes had a hard time hearing Robert sing. I had given my parents tickets to the gig for Christmas and they sat upstairs for the show. When I met up with them afterward, they said that they had a terriffic time and that it was better than the show I took them to in September. So if last night's gig was any indication, the band's just going to improve on an already awesome show.
