Just back from the concert and what an amazing show it was! Starlite Desperation were a great opening group, and quite entertaining to watch. Both Peter Hayes and the drummer from Rapture made appearances for their set. The Rapture were also pretty good and had more of a following present so the crowd was into it. But BRMC was definitely what blew me away. They opened with a great acoustic set of Complicated Situation and Shuffle Your Feet. Then the real rock came in with Spread Your Love. They played all the singles, plus a new song I don't know the name of. They ended with an encore of Punk Song and Ha Ha High Baby, with the guys from Rapture making an appearance. And kudos to the guy who caught the tambourine, made a dash for the stage, and also to Peter for holding the roadie back and letting him play along. Overall, an incredible show and I'm so upset I can't make it to the Santa Cruz show tomorrow. Good job guys, and good luck in Santa Cruz and Coachella!

I'm just back from the show as well...

Peter's harmonica solo was definitely the best part of the Starlite Desperation set...I didn't know anything about The Rapture except for "House of Jealous Lovers", but I thought they were excellent. The cow bell is a fantastic part of the instrumentation.

BRMC were amazing as always, even though Robert admitted later that he is ill. They seemed pleased to be in their old hometown and to see the place fairly packed.

I hung around the stage long enough afterwards that Robert came out and started talking to people and very graciously signing autographs and listening to people blather on about nothing. I was blessed enough to get two signatures and a picture!

A million thanks to the guys for the outstanding show and especially for playing Ha Ha High Babe, which I never thought I'd hear live!
