I've waited more than five years to witness the beauty and intensity of a BRMC show. Last night, they deliverd in spades! 25 songs and more than two hours of musical bliss!
For those of you there last night, you know what I'm talking about, for you witnessed such a beautiful, quiet intensity one moment, and a raging fury the next. "The Line" was so intense and emotional it just about brought me to tears. And it was so awesome to finally get to hear "Love Burns", "Red Eyes & Tears", & "White Palms". The intensity with which they were played nearly knocked me to the floor! Luckily I had the barricade to hold onto.
Despite some sound troubles - it was hard at times to hear Robert's vocals and playing - it was a perfect performance. And seeing Peter playing the trombone was not something I would have expected at a BRMC show.
For those of you yet to see BRMC on this tour - you're in for one hell of a show!
Thank you Peter, Robert, and Nick for finally making it down to Florida. You've made me one exceedingly happy mf! I hope you'll make the trip again. And remember - Florida loves you!

This Show was just amazing. I've like BRMC for a couple years now and I often thought it would be so cool if they came to such a small venue like State. They played awesome and the show was amazing. The other bands were also quite good. I enjoyed it very much.

Yeah, I was in tears too! This was one of the best shows I have ever been to in my entire life! I was sitting on the balcony by the railing and just groovin' along to the whole thing. I was so amazed by how many songs they played. I thought for as shitty of a place that the State it, it sounded incredible. They really made it work. What's really cool about seeing them here as opposed to London a few years ago is that in London, the fans were like rabid dogs--no one seemed to want to relax and enjoy the music. It was all about charging the stage. At home, the atmosphere was very relaxed and therefor, more enjoyable. If I could have taken the time off work and had more money (of course), I would've toured Georgia and Florida. I can't even imagine what the Filmore show is gonna be like tonight. I'd give anything to hear it someday...
