It was great to see BRMC live again. The venue was nice, but it had reserved seating on the floor and overzealous “safety team” that prevented people from moving close to the stage. I could see several people enjoying the show but not standing. Probably because they didn’t want to get yelled at by those seated behind them. I think this stifled the energy back to the band. At one point Robert even commented that the crowd was “Quiet as church mice” because after the applause died after a song, it was uncomfortably quite. I sincerely hope they know that is not indicative of their true fans in the St Louis area. I’ve seen them every time since the Howl tour in 2006 and yearn for more music and headlining shows full of their real fans. The setlist was really good, but short 1 or 2 songs songs from the previous couple of shows. They had played “In Like The Rose”, which is one of my favorites, but they dropped it for St Louis. However, they did play 666 Conducer (another favorite).

Setlist: Beat The Devils Tattoo, Hate The Taste, 666 Conducer, Rifles, King of Bones, Ain’t No Easy Way, Shuffle Your Feet, Berlin, White Palms, Spread Your Love, What Ever Happened To My Rock ‘N’ Roll (Punk Song)
