Great show. Sound wasn't that great but though. It was amazing to hear Peter sing "visions of johanna". wow!
crowd wasn't too bad except for the drunk screaming girls near me.
I haven't been to that club since it was called Gazarries and it's still pretty much a lame set up. You would think they would have a kickin' sound system from all the money they put into it.
The mics kept cutting out ever so often and the vocals were barely audible on certain songs.
I could tell Peter was a bit upset during the last song.
I still think it was a good show as always. They have it! I felt like I was going on a first date before the show. I was anxious and nervous and excited. What a wonderful feeling. I rarely feel that way about a band these days.
oh and Robert looked like he was channeling Johnny Cash... very cool!
During the first band (didn't catch their name) there was this blue light that was shining in our eyes ... so annoying. Some of their songs reminded me of John Cougar.
Cheers BRMC!

This show was so perfect.

We waited in 8 and a half hours of rain [and hail] to make sure we were up front - and it was well worth it. I'm not even sure what to write other than it was utterly amazing... I didn't like the crowd too much, especially not when people kept talking during Robert's solo songs - but no real complaints about the band or the venue. I got some amazing photos... and I just wish I could have gone to both this show and Safari Sam's... but hopefully they'll give us an equally amazing opportunity to see them in a setting like this again- this is the way to see them.

FYI, it was ROBERT singing Visions of Johanna, not Peter. Robert went to the edge of the stage where we were [I had to move my stuff, in fact] and it was the most amazing thing ever. I got a setlist and one of Nick's drumsticks, too. I don't know when I'll get to see them again, but I hope it's soon.

Great show as always, glad I was lucky enough to make it in. Loved Robert sitting on the monitor and singing a lil Dylan for us. Seemed a tad more mellow than past BRMC shows, wonder if they were just warming up for tonight. Loved American X, what a jam. Anyone else notice the leak in the roof dripping onto the stage?

This show was spectacular. It started it slow, but it soon gathered intensity. It's mind blowing to not only hear, but feel, your favorite tunes live. The highlight for me was experiencing "As Sure as the Sun," the first BRMC song I heard and the one i was most hoping they'll play. "Whatever Happened to my Rock n Roll (punk song)" was a great ending to an amazing show. Great small venue too.

This show was worth the money after hours of standing in the rain (without an umbrella), waiting for the show to start up with drenched shoes and socks, and an ok opening act (whose name escapes me). The audience was great as they were talking during the setups and giving their full attention when BRMC took the stage. The set was amazing, Robert and Nick joined after Peter finished up a two song solo set--Grind My Bones and Complicated Situation--going into Shuffle Your Feet. During the set BRMC displayed a lot of energy in their varied set. Near the end of the set, Robert took the stage with an acoustic in hand and delivered awe with Sympathetic Noose. One of the best parts of the night was when he took the mic to the edge of the stage, sat on the monitor, and delivered a intimate cover of Bob Dylan's Vision's of Johanna. The jame during American X was nothing short of amazing, I got a spectacular picture of Peter playing bass. The conclustion of the encore with Whatever Happend to My Rock & Roll was amazing despite all the shit that was happening to Peter's mic. I am glad this was my first BRMC concert and I am looking forward to seeing them in the future and possibly meeting them.

Apparently some member of KoL were there, I don't have a clue who though.

We heard Owen Wilson was there, too!

Peter must have decided last minute to add "Grind My Bones" as it wasn't on the printed set list, otherwise, the set was the same.

what can i say that hasnt already been said? i actually enjoyed the opening band. cant tell you what the songs were about, but i like the music and the bass player was kinda cute.

they didnt play an entrance song like they did when they toured with kol, but starting the show with grind my bones was great.

i thought the crowd was good because there was no pushing.

Someone actually posted video of the entire show on YouTube, so check it out if you're interested in watching it from the front row. I was in the front behind one of Robert's monitors, which he later moved back for some reason. We got to the Key Club at 5:30 PM, right before it started pouring rain. It was freezing outside the venue, but at least they had rain tents up around the lines for people who'd gotten their early (some people were there at 6 AM!). My toes were frozen by the time we got inside, but were defrosted by the time BRMC went on.

The opening band that night was F. Scott and the Ashbury Band, who I'd never heard of. They went on at 8:30 PM and were pretty good, kind of a bluesy rock that had a bit of a 60's sound. I had seen some of the members outside the venue when I was waiting on the wrong side of the line. Actually, I thought the singer of the band reminded me of Peter, though a little shorter and with a beard.

After more waiting for the opening band to move their gear and the roadies to set up for BRMC, we finally had Peter come on stage with his acoustic songs at around 9:30 PM. He opened with "Grind My Bones," which wasn't on the original setlist. After "Complicated Situation," he was joined by Nick and Robert on "Shuffle Your Feet." Nick was miked up and singing back up vocals on a lot of songs. It was pretty cool to see him singing along too.

It was kind of standard setlist for a BRMC show, not that that's such a bad thing. Hearing Robert's cover of "Visions of Johanna" was interesting because he sat down on a monitor and played the entire song sitting down. It's a pretty long song, so it's understandable that he might be tired. During "Howl," Peter was on Robert's side playing the keyboard on the piano and Robert moved over to Peter's microphone. Later, they switched sides.

Well, most everything has already been covered in the other reviews. I just wanted to add a few things.

First, Robert's version of Sympathetic Noose that evening was seriously the best I've ever heard it performed - soulful and heart-breaking.

Second, the guys seemed especially happy at this show, as they were constantly smiling back and forth to each other throughout the first few songs. It was nice to see.

The addition of these 2 small shows was a very nice way to end an exceptional tour. Thanks!!!!!
